In May… David Bowie Documentary on BBC

David Bowie’s return has received another boost, as the BBC will air a documentary on the rocker’s life and career. David Bowie – Five Years focuses on five david-bowie-where-are-we-nowkey years for Bowie – 1971, 1975, 1977, 1980 and 1983 – as well as his comeback efforts for his forthcoming album The Next Day. The film will feature archival footage and interviews with collaborators and fellow musicians.

Bowie returned on January 8th, his 66th birthday, with his first new music in 10 years. “Where Are We Now?” is the first mournful downcast single from his new album. He has been working in secret for two years on “The Next Day”, due early March.

Bowie is also the co-subject of the forthcoming biopic Lust for Life, which explores his collaboration with Iggy Pop in West Berlin in the 1970s.
